Fansite of model and tv hostess Brooke Burke
Brooke Lisa Burke was born in Hartford, Connecticut on September 8, 1971. The first of nine children born to French/Irish father George and Portuguese mother Donna, Brooke was actually raised in the state of Arizona by her stepfather Armen Hartounian. She went to both Sahuaro and Palo Verde high schools in Tucson, Arizona. She also studied broadcast journalism at UCLA and business advertising at Santa Monica College to further boost her education.
Her exotic good looks started to draw attention when she was still very young, particularly when she won her first beauty pageant at age 14. “When I was young, I wanted to do something more low-key, like become a drummer in a rock band,” recalls the sexy model/host. She was accidentally discovered when she accompanied a friend to a modeling agency in Scottsdale. The stunning beauty was noticed by a talent scout and this prompted her to try out modeling. While still studying, Brooke began her modeling career when she was signed by top model agencies including the prestigious Ford Models Agency. This led to modeling gigs for Venus swimwear and Frederick’s of Hollywood. She also appeared in television ads for Coca-Cola, Discover Card, and Bally Total Fitness. Simultaneously, she landed many modeling gigs for various magazine covers, billboards, swimsuit editorials, catalogues and posters. Her career is now on the rise.
In 1999, Brooke’s big break in the business presented itself when E! Entertainment Television searched for a substitute host for their show Wild On. A friend suggested she try out for the position. The producers of the show liked her and gave her a try-out show in Spain where she had to take part in a festive tomato war, La Tomatina. The producers liked the episode a lot and Brooke landed a three-year contract and the hosting duties of the said show. She replaced previous host and fellow beauty Jules Asner. As part of this popular show, Brooke got to travel around the world, featuring dozens of exotic locales like Australia, Bali and Belize and also gave her constant exposure to the show’s numerous audiences. The show aired 6 nights a week, and every midnight, legions of male fans tune in to the show to see Brooke as she profiled many popular travel destinations. Her sexy host image grew rapidly, and her popularity caught the attention of different men’s magazines like Maxim, FHM, Stuff and Playboy.
Playboy got her to pose nude in the May 2001 issue of the renowned magazine. She again graced the pages of Playboy in the November 2004 issue, proving to the world she still has the right to strut her stuff for the popular magazine three years later. The decision to pose nude boosted her image to male fans around the world.
Aside from modeling and hosting duties, Brooke has also lent her voice as “Rachel Teller” in Electronic Arts’ immensely popular video game Need for Speed: Underground 2. She also asks the “People and Places” questions in the video game, Trivial Pursuit Unhinged. Infomercials and other voice over gigs are also part of her extensive resume. She guest-starred on popular TV shows like “That’s Life”, “Monk” and “It’s All Relative” and even landed roles in “Knuckle Sandwich” and “The Hazing” in 2004 and “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story” with Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn. She and musician Dave Navarro hosted the CBS reality show Rock Star: INXS during the summer of 2005. Although the show did not fare well, they were called upon to present Rock Star: Supernova for the second series.
This exotic brunette married Dr. Garth Fisher in 2001. The couple had two daughters, Neriah and Sierra Sky before they separated in 2005. She began dating actor David Charvet and during a September 2006 episode of Rock Star: Supernova, she revealed that she was expecting her third child.
